The Breitling Navitimer Heritage has maintained the traditions set by the authentic Navitimer chronograph for aviators developed in the fifties. The Breitling watch-makers opted for a slightly larger size of case than the one of the original Navitimer model. The peculiarity of the Breitling Navitimer Heritage is the bracelet integrated within the case. The timepiece incorporated one more important feature – the Flyback mechanism. This additional function allows successive timing operation with no need to stop, return to zero and then start the chronograph again. In other words, the flyback function of the chronograph gives a possibility to stop an ongoing time measurement by simply pressing a button and start a new time measurement at once by releasing the button again. Only the most sophisticated chronographs for pilots were endowed with the Flyback function. The brand's specialists developed Breitling Caliber 35, a self-winding movement provided with 'very-short-time' totalizers. The timepiece was suggested by the Breitling Datora watch that became a real bestseller in the 1940-s.
